Only an okay day off.

August 8th, 2008 at 12:14 am

BF Food @ Work: $2.00 ($72.49/$100)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Today has been only an okay day off. Having to deal with the bank issues early in the day just kind of set the mood I guess.

And just when I think I've accepted that we will just pay the $35, and perhaps look for a bank that will fit us a little better, I start thinking about all the other things that can possibly go wrong with the account, since I never got a call back from the bank today to sort through it.

I really hate confrontation, so it almost makes me nauseas to think about having to go through all that mess if we end up getting charged more fees between now and then.

Anyway, not much else to report, financial or otherwise. I did do $7 worth of surveys today, so hopefully I'll be getting those checks in about a month. I also finished "InkSpell", so I won't have to renew it at the library again. BF is actually thinking about checking out a few books the next time we go. I'm surprised that he's willing to put down the Playstation controller long enough to do that! Wink

Well, I guess I will do some laundry, dishes, and start dinner before long, so that we can eat when BF gets off work. I want to feel like I've done a little something productive with my day.

    I'm with you on disliking confrontation. Good job doing surveys today.

    Dealing with banks sure can be frustrating. I hope that you're able to get in touch with someone who is willing and able to be helpful in taking care of the problem.

    If you're into mystery/detective type novels with a female lead - I would suggest that you check out "One for the Money" by Janet Evanovich. Be warned though - they are highly addictive, and there are 14 books in the series. Big Grin I'm getting #9 tomorrow from the library. Smile

    I read your last comment on the previous post.

    Why don't you just direct deposit your paycheck? Usually it hits that day because the funds are wired to you account. Might save you a headache. Also, banks will typically lower fees to have you paycheck direct deposited into the account.

    Just a thought.

    Merch - My paycheck is direct deposited already. BF's will be too, but after he turned in the void check to start it, they told him this last one would have to still be a paper check. I guess they had already started the pay period or something.

    Just checked this morning - I have ANOTHER overdraft fee of $35, from something that went through yesterday. The deposit also finally hit, with a posting date of YESTERDAY. And the Redbox charge that was pending two days ago? It's gone... not processed, not in pending anymore. I really don't get their online banking.

    I'm calling the bank today, and if they won't take off at least the second charge, since nobody could call me back AT ALL yesterday, I'm going to close the account. I have time to open another one before my next paycheck is direct deposited, or the insurance is due. Did I mention that I found the deposit confirmation that I was given on Wednesday? It has Wednesday's date & the amount, and says "credit next business day".

    When it comes to your money you have to stand up and be confrontational when need be! It is your money they are messing about with!

    You can stand up for yourself! Believe in yourself and just go and do what you feel is necessary! You can do it! WinkSmile
